The Hopeton State Bank offers a variety of CD's to fit your investment needs. Minimum deposit for a CD is $1000.00. Certificates are written with a fixed interest rate for the selected term. Certificate terms available are three, six, twelve, and eighteen, twenty four and thirty six months. You decide if the certificate has a single maturity date or is automatically renewable. Withdrawals from certificates prior to maturity are subject to penalty.

Penalties:

A penalty equal to 2 months interest will be charged on accounts with terms of less than 6 months. In some cases the principal may be reduced.

A penalty equal to 3 months interest will be charged on accounts with terms of 6 - 11 months. In some cases the principal may be reduced.

A penalty equal to 4 months interest will be charged on accounts with terms of 12 - 23 months. In some cases the principal may be reduced.

A penalty equal to 5 months interest will be charged on accounts with terms of 24 - 35 months. In some cases the principal may be reduced.

A penalty equal to 6 months interest will be charged on accounts with terms of 36 months or greater. In some cases the principal may be reduced.
